SAD NEWS - Philip Briant AM 1953-1992

I am sad to report that Philip Briant, Master, Librarian, Cricket umpire, and so much more (!) passed away on Friday 8 March. I believe he was 96 years young.

In December Ben Charles (the current Principal) invited Phil to the Carol Service, and in his charming, witty letter, beautifully handwritten, he admitted that joining the School for the service would prove difficult for him as he had recently stopped driving, and feared his hearing would not enable him to enjoy the service. He was in good spirits and sent Christmas wishes to the School.

Philip has indicated that he wants a private cremation with no funeral service or memorial.
