You are invited to take part in a very special golf charity event at Rochester and Cobham Park Golf Club to support the beautiful Rochester Cathedral.

Rochester is home to the second oldest Cathedral in the country, founded in 604 by Bishop Justus, it has a 1,400-year history with fascinating collections of artefacts dating back as far as the early Middle Ages. It costs around £1.3 million a year to keep the Cathedral open, but it is almost entirely self-funding, receiving no Government money and very little from central church funds.

This year The Cathedral is focussing on raising funds to open its gardens and open spaces for therapeutic work with vulnerable children and adults. This rediscovery of the Cathedral’s historic gardens and green spaces chimes with the present day need for open areas and the rising concern around mental health issues, social isolation, bereavement issues and management of long-term conditions.  The Cathedral’s grounds offer a wonderful resource for wellbeing.

We invite you to help raise money for this wonderful cause by gathering a team of four and enjoying a round of golf in a beautiful, secluded oasis.

If you are unable to join us but would still like to support the event, we are looking for auction prizes, so if you can offer an experience that money could not normally buy or have a product that you think would make a great prize, please do contact us.

Cost:

£350 per team of 4. Price includes breakfast, golf, and lunch.

Timings:

8am - Arrival and breakfast in the clubhouse

9am - Shotgun start.

9am – 2pm – Gin & tonic / whiskey soda refreshments provided on course, generously donated by Copper Rivet Distillery

2pm - Lunch

3pm - Live auction & prize giving.

Golf Information:

Format - 4 ball stableford, the best two scores on each hole count.

Additional on-course competitions - A hole in one will win a car donated by Barrett’s of Canterbury
